Chunk exact-character coverage
Chunk retains its single-page START / INSIDE / END workflow. Selecting START commits one prefix and replaces the initial grid with refinements; a word cannot have two starting prefixes. Restart search changes the search, not the draft.
Character links append literally: case, repeated spaces, punctuation, tab and line breaks are preserved. Word choices provide four explicit effects: standard composition, complete current word, add next word, and append exact spelling. Separate case controls apply to the next selection. Add next word is the default: selecting a word preserves typed text and inserts a separator when needed. No precautionary Space action is required. Complete current word explicitly replaces a typed ending. After @, /, _, = or a hyphen, the default adds no separator or automatic capitalization. Standard composition remains an optional legacy completion mode.
Every Chunk draft links to an optional exact-character browser. Its ASCII keys and Unicode ranges use supplied ordinary hyperlinks, preserve the current draft and reply relationship, and never publish. Browsing is read-only and does not renew expiry. Accepted characters are Unicode scalar values except C0 controls other than tab, LF and CR, and DEL. No normalization is applied.
Coverage procedure and local results enumerate all 1,112,034 permitted scalars and verify literal insertion, word effects, case, read-only browsing, exact publication/replies, byte limits and expiry. A fresh 1,200-byte message requires at most 1,201 saved states including its root, within the 2,400-state capacity. Range navigation adds no states. Each scalar takes at most five browser/append requests; printable ASCII takes at most two, or one when already offered. A worst-case fresh message needs at most 3,000 character/browser requests plus review and publication. These are representation bounds, not a promise of completion within rate limits or the 30-minute session under arbitrary latency, retries or existing branches.
The current dictionary contains 147,537 distinct indexed spellings exported as full word forms from pinned ESDB size 70, with documented name/abbreviation filters and maintained Relay additions. It includes reply, context, preserves and explicitly added recurse/recurses/recursed/recursing. Compare vocabulary coverage, size and lookup measurements. Dictionary membership accelerates composition; the exact lane remains available for missing spellings.
An actual ordinary-link sentence test published a 29-word, 164-byte message exactly. Its 114 exploratory navigations included failed searches, a word-boundary correction, review, publication and opening the record. That count is not an optimum or a comparative speed measurement. See the separately bounded method evaluation.
